They are different writings , which require different approaches and different skills. There are also 3 types of writing that involve different commitments. When I write blog posts, it doesn't take much for me to get to 6-700 words or more and complete the post. The personal blog is something intimate, the contents are already inside us, or at least they should, they are in our head. It doesn't cost me any effort to write a post. I'm quick at it. The only problem with the blog is finding ideas that I consider valid . I wrote a post months ago and never published it, nor will I. I have 300 post titles that I will most likely never turn into articles. I'm thinking of publishing the list, maybe it will be useful to someone. Writing a story, however, is difficult , because compared to a post it has many elements to take into account.
Fiction requires more concentration and more dedication, too. Writing articles for clients should be similar to writing my own posts, but in reality this is not the case, because I only rarely wrote articles within my own expertise, on topics that I knew well. But I don't know anything about electronic cigarettes, nor about body purification with natural Special Data remedies, nor about data recovery from hard drives, about car rental, about correct postures, about carpet cleaning and restoration, nor about safety at work. But I had to write them down. How to write articles on any topic? I've never had this problem, to tell the truth. When I receive a request, I always ask for more information, also because on average the request is along the lines of: "I need 10 items on X, how much do they cost?".
The information I ask for must make me understand who those articles are aimed at, why they are useful to the customer, whether they are generic or in-depth texts. The more information I can glean from the client - because often the client doesn't have clear ideas either - the better I can frame the topic. Documentation, first of all You can write articles on all topics , but not without reading up first. Documenting yourself does not mean reading the page on Wikipedia, a site that I never consult for my documentation, but searching for various sources online and otherwise and then writing. Documentation doesn't even mean copying and pasting, a practice that will never die. Documenting yourself basically means studying the topic you are writing about. This is why I can't understand how many people can write articles even for 1 euro.
